In the areas closer to Mexico, you have to speak Spanish to even WORK on a framing or cornice carpenter crew. Roofing, and concrete work are also dominated by Hispanics, mostly illegal. The crew chiefs have to speak English, to communicate with the general contractors. I don't disagree with you........it was AS who said that. I forgot to put it into parenthesis. AS is an observer of illegals from a West LA perspective.
