Many reasons but not because they're rational thinking imo. And I've been there and done that. I appreciate your opinion but it doesn't mean it applies to everyone who is opposed to organized religion. Strong negative emotional feelings toward religion, like anything else, aren't produced by rational thinking. ---------------------------------------------- nor am I critical of the human failings of the religious. But you are - "Its not just that many of the leaders of religion are hypocritical but their participants are as well." I am stating a fact. That's not being critical....its exposing the truth. Oh you are merely exposing the "truth" that religious people deserve your hostile contempt. Every bigot thinks their bigotry is justified. -------------------------------------------------------- Let's not go over this one again. The religious right has been quite active in voicing its complaints for some time now. You have to be a hermit on a mountain to be unaware of those complaints. We never went over it. You have claimed before that religious people stuff things down your throat, force their beliefs on you, etc. but you can never give an example of it.
