For most people, emotions are Truth.

I think emotions are truths governed by intellect and a higher power that created both. Without intellect, emotions are nothing more than a snake biting, or a snake not biting--or a dog biting or wagging its tail, or whatever analogy you choose. Without a higher power, there is no snake and no dog.

The intellect can decide whether to credit the higher power, or not. It doesn't change anything.
