Assets don't contribute to inflation or deflation so what's the price of housing got to do with it? Remember, housing doubled and tripled and the deflationists still were claiming "deflation". And that was 3 years ago.

The celebration went something like this :

Deflationist 1 : "Who was it about two months back that said DOW 18,000? It wasn't me or you."

Deflationist 2 : "they are going to learn not to laugh at deflation"

(Background info : I had posted on SI that Jim Puplava had forecast new highs for the Dow, later in 2008, maybe even as high as 18,000. Also btw, Puplava had correctly forecast a 10-15 percent decline in the first few weeks of 2008 before the massive Fed reflation machine kicks in.)
