Great news about your mother! Sounds like she came through the ordeal rather well. Mine remains about the same, but is able to walk several times a day. Thankfully, they have lots of room for walkers indoors, where it's relatively safe.

Speaking of cold, I got up to find -4 on the thermometer. It's really been quite a bit below "normal" for these January days. I'm sick of it, I can tell you that. Before I became my mom's keeper, I would escape to Florida and a couple weeks with my bro. But, I can't seem to get away for the time being, she gets pretty anxious if I'm out of touch.

That is just great news Alan Smithee. I hope she's being just ornery enough to keep you on your toes. -gg-

I know it takes longer to heal at her age, and that's why I'm trying to remain healthy.......eat right, exercise, get my sleep etc. In the inevitable event when I end up getting poked and prodded by the docs. Other than south fl, the entire nation is under a blanket of cold. That's ok..........it's winter for crying out loud.

When do you think you'll head back home?
