I don't think the downslide can be laid at Brinker's feet ...

Duh! Why do subscribers pay Brinker for his "MarkeTIMER" newsletter? Is Brinker forwarding all the subscription money to charities?!

You think the fed actually listens to what Brinker thinks they should do? I don't. I heard it was a Bush-Bernanke plan.

No, the Fed would not listen to Brinker, of course. But Brinker is expected to figure out what's going on.

<<This is indeed worrisome, but I wouldn't say panicking. Are we in recession territory yet? Isn't it 20% down for a period of time? Are we there yet? (These are questions, I'm no expert on what constitutes a recession.)>>

--Queen, we won't officially be in a recession until we have 2 consecutive quarters of negative GDP. We haven't had one yet, and this one is just starting.

20% down is a bear market.

<<You think the fed actually listens to what Brinker thinks they should do? I don't.>>

--Queen, no one thinks the fed listens to Brinker.

But if anyone DID think that, it wouldn't be any more illogical and ridiculous than Kirk thinking brinker reads his posts, just because brinker has actually done something that kirk wrote about, on occasion.

"I hope Brinker's been right all along, that we won't see recession"

--So do I, Queen. I don't wish anyone to lose money.

"I don't think the downslide can be laid at Brinker's feet..."

-- For someone like me, I agree.

But for those in that group paid protection money -subscriptions- to avoid a deep dip, well they can lay a lot at Brinker's feet.

Btw, my perception is you are not part of that group.

You are entitled...
