Obama used much nicer language than that. The press is exaggerating the emnity between the camps to get ratings. It's actually a lot tamer and milder. In fact, last night Obama admitted it was fair and normal in politics to try and skew votes and positions. They all do it. And let's be honest, Obama hade the luxury at the time of the original war powers vote not to be targeted by a rightwing smear campaign. At ther time, after 9-11 those rightwing smear campaigns (which are the real evil here, not any of tese Dems) were painfully effective. Remember what they did to Max Cleland, a war hero, just because he wanted to preserve union rights for first responders? They claimed he was on the side of the terrorists. Boy oh boy are these rightwingers creeps. And now look at the economic mess they've dumped on us. I've been trying to warn everyone. The corporate Bushie elite are the biggest crooks in US history.
