He's a combination of Ali and Johnny Cochran, but taking care to talk the talk like a white guy 'doing' 'African-American.' It would all be rather confusing except that he's just another politician, saying and doing what he thinks needs to be done to win the prize. Frankly, I think he shows contempt for his target constituency with his meaningless slogans. It does explain why so many Hollywood types are in his corner, though. They either buy into the slogans because they're incapable of deeper analysis or join in his arrogance in their appeal to lesser mortals who can be hoodwinked by superficially nifty little turns of phrase.
