We are. The stock markets are just a symptom.

Sure. But, we are here. And we have the leadership we do.

Things are moving quickly. It is likely no one can really do much at this juncture. The problem is that we engaged in policies that we have learned from experience can push an economy into crisis. Now, any single policy is not likely to be a problem. But we had a whole fist full of them. You shoot anything enough times and you can eventually kill it. And for some perverse reason, we seemed bound and determined to learn that lesson again...

Personally, I hope we can dodge the bullet on this one. Things look pretty ugly and I don't really need ugly right now.
