but Munster had a bizarre call a few weeks ago that said he was looking for 24 million ipod units in the first TWO MONTHS of the quarter. I think that must have been a misquote, I thought it was too high and that might have been a good number for the whole quarter.... now it seems that is the case.

As for earnings I am really baffled this time. I just don't know. I believe Apple is switching from a 90% consumer driven company to a 50/50 corp and consumer demand model but the corp side is just barely starting up. With that in mind there is less seasonality involved and estimates are already WAY OVER last quarter due to this seasonality which I think is overstated. Argh! A tough call

they do it all the time day of earnings release , these analysts come out with new numbers or projects or the day before. imo it is nuts.. just take your numbers and see what is released and take part in the conference call.
