I'd love to charge them! I kept looking for my bank check for taxes and it never came. So on Dec 31 I made an online payment. Well apparently the bank paid them directly and it wasn't reflected online. Have you ever heard of a direct bank to city payment? I haven't. So I call the bank, then the city, the city confirms the double pay and says they have until April to cut me a check.

The same double pay happened on property insurance as well. Some of this is of course MY FAULT but geez....An April check?

Very sub cool

<<I paid just shy of 10K in property taxes this year in December so there is 0 chance that I would double pay:(>>

The first year I owned this house the taxes were $900. Today just the school part is over $4k. Odd thing is my farm taxes in another county over have dropped 20% in the same time frame.
