Even if you do falsely assume that we have national distribution of most of our wealth its a pretty weak argument because many wealthy people get wealthy by creating wealth.

Many middle and low income people get money by "creating wealth".

It's the way it's spread around that's at issue. Recently more has gone to top executives, less to mid to lower end workers. There are no rules that create that just a power struggle and supply/demand.
