Bushies attacked the Constitution with a vengeance after 9-11, then used new dictatorial type powers to cheat in elections, attack political opponents and evade oversight of congress and the courts. That's treason. It's Cheney's lawyer Addington who mis the fascist mastrermind behind this. He and Cheney believe that the President of the USA should be beholden to no one and above all laws. So Bush made secret signing statements, hundreds of them, giving himself permission to break any laws congress passed. And he also has given himself the right to call anyone he wants a "terrorist" (as McCarthy would call anyone a "communist" and take away all their rights, all of them. No rights whatsoever. In fact Bush gave himself the right to murder anyone he wants with that signing statement. Just like in Hitler's Germany or the Soviet Union. This is all treason against the Constitution which Bush swore to uphold and defend when he was sworn in. No other president has ever done this. Nothing even close in modern times. It's also no secret the religious right would like to replace the Constitution. Huckabee just said so last week in fact.
