If Google wanted to buy Apple, that would be wonderful. I think it would give them a legitimate hardware platform through the iTouch to launch Google's national wireless network. Apple is quietly amassing enough wifi spots for their Maps. If they tied the 700 MHZ spectrum to Apple's wifi access points, Google wouldn't have to spend too much money to exploit that spectrum. GOOG could incorporate Skype into the wifi software to let people have a wifi phone and data device for no monthly fee.

CDMA chips bore the hell out of me for wireless data because it costs me insane amounts of money to run any application each month - $60 for wireless modem, $30 for gps. Gimme a break. They are going to get their asses kicked once people use their iTouch for all their wireless data. They will stop using their phones and just use texting.
