I'm not suggesting that they be rounded up an executed because they lied on their applications, I understand the reasons for doing so, and I would say they are evil people because they did it, but I wouldn't bail them out now. They got temporary use of a house they can't afford by lying, now you want to give them permanent use of the house??

The prices where inflated partially because people got loans for to much.

That's BS......the prices were inflated because certain markets had too many speculators participating.


They are both part of the reason for the housing prices becoming inflated. And the point is that they where inflated. Bringing that bubble back down is a necessary adjustment not a tragedy.

In 5-10 years, those prices will seem cheap

The peak prices? In real terms? Not in most of the inflated markets.
