Doing it my way means you get a few very tasty meals and only one large cleanup. Even the clean ups for me mean one pot and rinse the plate for the dishwasher. One dish meals make this pretty easy. I'm with you, though, I am happy with a can of soup once in a while. I still make the long drive to Albertson's for their great fried chicken. 8 pieces of dark for about 5 bucks is a deal and makes four meals for me. Instant mashed potatoes and gravy is also an easy clean up.
