I like Kens ideas of making several meals at one setting and then using the food saver. One clean up for 3/4 meals. Also of course I do a lot of French and Cajun and in general more complicated type cooking that can really generate the dirty dishes so if a person just dumbed it down you can make a lot less mess also.

I see where you coming from here as it seems it's a one women show going on there. I get home and mix a couple of martini's and start chopping and dicing while wife unit sits at the snack bar and we converse. Then when I get to cooking, usually about second martini:) she gets up and cleans while I'm cooking so that when we sit down to eat there really is only one or two pans and our dinner dishes left. Then I usually clean that mess when we are done eating while she clears the table and whalla, we're done.

Hope you enjoyed your skiing adventure. I truly miss that. As a youngster I was a ski patrol and gave Saturday lessons and really enjoyed getting out. Alas the knee that needs to be replaced doesn't allow such ventures anymore:(
