Yeah, I'm aware of the Krona drop. I was leery of it a year ago when a newsletter guy was pitching the Icelandic bonds.

At this point however I took a flyer on the Krona by putting half the capital in with the other half betting on Yuan. The attempt is to barbell Interest & Speculation.

The Krona time frame is 3 months automatically rolled over. Perhaps Everbank decided to force down the long term risk by limiting the time frame.

Putting money into a CD with a one year maturity & watching the underlying sink 20% probably resulted in more than a few calls to Everbank, and perhaps that's why they screen for risk tolerance so closely.

I cannot find a Forex quote for CHY. Futures Quotes, but no pairs.

No Yield on the Yuan. Pure Price Speculation. There is a private fund, which I may buy into, that melds several Asian Currencies and pays a yield because part of it is in Rupees & whatnot that pay out interest.
But my intent is pure spec, so yield is secondary here.

I don't watch CNBC unless I need a laugh. So I haven't heard them try to get their tongues around ren-min-bi.

Renminbi = People's Currency, Yuan = Round.

Unless we need to be politically correct Yuan is fine by me.
