One of the funniest stories I've heard was told by a friend of mine when I lived in Boston.

It seems the year before, they were predicting the blizzard of the century, so what to do? Naturally, their first trip was to the liquor store and the second to the grocery store. Since our building was party central, (I wasn't living there yet) everyone within a five mile radius met at the apartment downstairs.

The party was a rip roaring success, and everyone was snockered and spread out all over the building. From what I understand, it was not a pretty sight, anyhow, the blinds were all closed and you know what happened next....

Everyone started calling in saying they couldn't make it to work because of the blizzard. One person just happened to peek out a window, with everyone yelling in the background like at "Cheers," "Shut the blind!" However imagine everyones shock when he yelled, "There is NO snow on the ground!"
