She may have been the bigger fool for letting him use her as a punching bag, but you can have a good feeling about yourself, because you were willing to put your life on the line to help a stranger... When someone approaches me with a sob story, like they are stranded, need money for gas, a bus ride to the homeless shelter, etc. I'm sorry, I know people say not to give them money, but I do. My girls are always telling me they see me coming. I tell them I don't care, at least I have a clear conscience, if they are lying to me, they are the ones who have to live with themselves.
