I saw your post on your thread about the loneliness study. Interesting indeed. As for The Other, have you read Howard Bloom's The Lucifer Principle? Fascinating study of primate tribal behavior. It is more than interesting to note that the same subset of people who reject the notion that our behavior could be compared to that of primates, also reject the entire concept of evolution. Too much denial, methinks. Since reading Bloom, I remain much calmer when someone does something otherwise inexplicably idiotic. <g>
