I don't blame you. The massive selling we saw in January really threw me as well. ABB has never been a cheap stock on a PE basis, and I don't expect it ever will be. But when the market psychology changes from hate to love, ABB is the King of the power transformer market, more so than even Siemens and the fundamentals of the worlds need for power generating capacity has not changed. The key to buying ABB seems to be buy it as cheap as possible during periods where it gets repriced lower by the market. Pick your spot. Like many stocks, nothing has changed with ABB's fundamentals and they just get stronger.

OT: It was another day of very wide and erratic swings in many of the highfliers today. BIDU(which I no longer have puts on) could have been bought at 238 yesterday for a ride up to 317, where it resides in AH. That's an 80 point swing in 2 days - My goodness. More tame were FSLR and GOOG with mere 50 point range in 2 days. Holy smokes. No wonder we here stories about traders jumping out of windows.

ABB Chief Kindle Leaves Because of Differences Over Acquisition Strategy
biz.yahoo.com

Closed my position on this one yesterday. The company plans to raise their dividend and begin a stock buy back. PE is still too high expecially if they throttle down their future acquisitions.

They did show excellent growth in their YTY sales growth. This will be a good one to watch and reenter with a position at lower prices.
