"That would be for the state of the economy Which isn't all that bad"

My friend, you are not reading the signs, some American banks are going broke. The mortgage securities debacle has not played through the whole economy... wait... things are getting worse. It's always the way at the end of a Republican administration, isn't, recession. Something about you guys and running government, uncontrollable government spending and recession.

"Failure to give the pursuit of Osama Bin Laden the effort almost every American believes it deserves (choosing to pursue Saddam Hussein instead) -- a fantasy of some on the left, not a statement that adequatly reflect reality."

Dropping out of Afghanistan and going to war in Iraq, that's chasing OBL????? What planet are you living on?

"Failing to capture or kill OBL, Yeah, and if they did the Dems would stop hating right?"

I supported the war in Afghanistan and the MAJOR pursuit of Osama Bin Laden. I don't know about you, but OBL caused a lot of personal pain for New Yorkers, and catching that sucker is all I wanted. But Bush and his cronies went to war in Iraq. C'mon, Saddam Hussien had not threatened and harmed Americans in any way that compared with what OBL had done. So, to answyer you question, I'd have a lot more respect for Bush if he had made the major effort of his administration the capture of OBL, rather than the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

"and the totally inept mismanagement of the war in Iraq to the extent it was inept (and it really was not more so than most other wars), now that its being handled better are you going to drop the hate?? I doubt it."

The war has caused a shameful loss of life, for everyone. So you are correct, I won't think better of the administration now even if it is doing a better job in Iraq.
