I was assuming a purely social call with no financial renumeration. And I was assuming some of the worst examples that you see on those shows, to the point where the house is at least close to being hazardous. ---- Another general comment. If the couple simply can't agree on how much housework should be done, and they have sufficient income, they could hire a maid to make up for the <slacker/reasonable person>'s lower desire to work than the <person who likes a normal clean house/obsessive neat freak>. It would seem to be worth relieving the stress of the conflict, assuming that how clean the house is, is really the issue, and it isn't a proxy for some other concern. Of course if it is just a proxy they will probably find something else to fight about.
