If some people do not fear death at all .... does that detract from the bravery of their actions?

I am not attempting to attach values to the descriptive terms. I am merely arguing semantics.

Returning to my original comment, Bill Maher, in a rebuttal of a comment about the 9/11 hijackers being cowardly, insisted that they were not.

Having listened to Mr. Maher for many years, I took his comment to be a rejection of either/or, right/wrong assumptions, such as:

Our troops are brave; theirs are cowardly.
Our leaders are godly; theirs are heathen.
Our goals are lofty; theirs are sinister.

I was dismayed to see this comment result in his being fired, as I believe he was entitled to voice his opinion.

The behavior of those who fired him was far more alarming to me.
