So Kerry didn't run on his Vietnam war record? He didn't set himself up for the attacks, regardless of whether such attacks were inevitable or not? He didn't try and run away from his anti-war past? The attacks were inevitable...regardless of what Kerry ran on. Take a look at how the attacks on McCain fizzled out. Only those still bitter about the Swifties attacks on Kerry actually cared. Why is that? Like I said, any man who took part in the vietnam war has my admiration and respect....only a coward would smear such a man, even if he does not share his opinions of that war or his opinion of the way his/her country choses to conduct it.
