Chris, > The (D) clowngress got low ratings because they were unable to end the idiot war in Iraq, which only tells us we need MORE (D)'s. It's SO obvious..

Yeah, that's the excuse the Dems themselves are using. "Poor us, think about all the good we could be doing if it weren't for those obstructionist Republicans."

> All Hilly has to do is to promise that with Billy and their whiz-bang COMPETENT economic team, they'll bring back the nineties good times!

Promises shmomises, but then again, people bought her tears ...

>we need MORE (D)'s.

We also need BETTER (D)'s. Bush keeps getting his way because the Dems (at least the ones we identify with) really aren't the governing coalition in Congress. The governing coalition in a lot of cases seems to be a combination of the Republicans plus the "Bush Dog" Democrats (http://www.openleft.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1073) and their wussy enablers, like Harry Reid.

Primaries are very important. We need to view "moderate" Dems as nearly as important to beat as Republicans.

It's a long haul, unfortunately.

>The Bush recession will take care of that. All Hilly has to do is to promise that with Billy and their whiz-bang COMPETENT economic team, they'll bring back the nineties good times! Raise ALL boats. Even the scrooge-like wealthy will think it sounds GREAT! Whatever (R) is running will be crushed.

Especially if that (R) is McCain, who kept saying over and over and over recently that he doesn't know much about economics, and then after getting caught on camera saying it and being asked about that comment, said he didn't say it.

Straight Talk, my ass...
