Maher is a better comedian than political analyst (where he is frankly clumsy and heavy-handed) but sometimes it's a fun package to watch, depending on the guests. Bill has a knack for saying what many people are thinking. Sam, when you see his show for the first time, remember that he is affected by the writers' strike. Certain segments, such as the monologue, are suffering and some are missing; New Rules and the rant that follows are usually the best segments, IMO, but will not return until the scribes do.
