TJ always has his mythical belief about the rock solid hk real estate market. i suspect the Fed has finished cutting rates in order to offically welcome recession. I wouldn't be surprised to see rate hike in 2009 to put the economy into ground halt so as to sort out the mess for broken banks and encourage savings for americans, as hot money will then flow back into america and eventually into dollar ... This could be one quick solution but still painful without hyperinflation and possibly aviod stagflation altogether. Of course you know the downside risk - gold crash. Europe and China may begin their decoupling process with US until US starts to rise up on its own economy from ground zero. Immigrants (illegal and legal) in US may then leave US for good .. This scenerio is the best as far as the global fiat paper money is concerned. That would put Hilary Clinton in a very difficult situation if she wins the election....
