They have no choice Red. And they can build much cleaner coal producers if they want but, it takes a lot of PGM's and expensive technology I think.

I once asked my son in law, the chemist, why only PGMs worked as catalytic coverters. He said other metals could be used but PGMs are the only ones that do not clog up.

I, of course, understood none of that-lol.

Soemthing else to consider is that I read only 7% of Indians have cars. probably the same for China, so at a time of peak ol all of a sudden a zillion new people will be bying cars.

And India is right now buidling a super highway around the entire country; and cars have become a huge status symbol----like in the US-lol.

Huge increases of oil and metals will be used going forward, for good or bad. And china cannot stand much more pollution.
