Have a little more courage in conviction.

There are no easy solutions to any problem facing this nation. More and more politicians are enslaving themselves to polls, worried about whatever negative consequences will come out of their yes or no votes.

Bob Novak just wrote about a GOP retreat in WV where they had the chance to take a hard-line stance against earmarks and pork-barrel spending. Unfortunately, the GOP passed on that opportunity because they were too afraid that they have to "bring home the bacon," or that the Democrats would if they don't. That's pretty chickens--t to me.

I imagine you felt the same way when you saw Dems failing to oppose an unpopular war.
