"...being paid by someone?" Nope, I'll rather speculate that their desire for a successful Maxam
has put their common sense into a place where it can not reflect the light at tunnel's end.

But my best guess disguised as an opinion is that pump & dump to sell extremely low next to
a million one penny shares for a few cents and obtain back with interest their investment
into Maxam that has span twenty years.
