I wonder if Pat Buchanan would substitute the word "boy" for "ma'am" in the same sentence if referring to Barack Obama.

There is so much sexism at work in this campaign.....subtle though it may be.

I must be missing something....since when is ma'am sexist? I thought it was the female equivalent of sir.

Conversely, I would have thought that Buchanan would have had to use the word girl to make it equivalent to using boy for Obama.
