As Kennedy moved me. I hope to God he wins the nomination. Obama is your third party candidate. Embrace him and support him. We have a shot at turning this country on its ear. Tonite I was listening to the pol. analysts talk while I was getting dressed to go out. If I heard them correctly, Obama got 27% of the white vote....at first I heard 20%....then later the higher number. If I am correct, the white vote split nearly 30-40-30....meaning the Old South is dead. In addition, and catch this one, white males broke for Obama....not Edwards, not Clinton. In addition, he got 80% of the black vote.....so much for Bill Clinton being the 'first black president'. Finally, 6 out of 10 voters said that they were effected by Bill Clinton's BS. Of that group, roughly 60% went for Obama and 40% for Clinton. It doesn't look to me like Bill is that big an asset. I am jazzed! I did errands this afternoon and then went to the gym. I almost turned around when I saw nearly all the TVs at the gym turned on to the SC returns. I expected to see Obama winning by maybe 2 percentage points. I was floored when I saw it was 51% to 30%. I thought to myself....dang! that won't hold. And it didn't.........it got better!! <g> Even the political analysts were jazzed....at least for a while. And then it started.....SC has a big black population....higher percentage than most other states; people are more confident of Hillary; Obama is too different....his campaign will never work....bla bla bla! But then, Joe Scarborough, the conservative pundit, said that after every primary election his blackberry gets a ton of messages from his conservative friends saying that Obama is the bomb! He he..... And can you believe Caroline Kennedy endorsed Obama tonite. Its frigging audacious! I would never have thought it.......of all the Kennedys, she's perfect......she's like one level below sainthood. She has none of the Kennedy baggage and everything that is good about the name. I swear....after every primary, some major name endorses Obama.....if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would think it was being staged. ;-) Now Oprah needs to get back on the road for Super Tuesday!
