Neither so ideological nor so good a communicator. Romney doesn't have much of a common touch. When he ran in Mass as a can-do technocrat, he was more himself. He remains what he was at Bain, a very smart & highly polished CEO and turnaround artist. I'm sure he plays brilliantly in the boardroom but the stump is not a natural place for him. Still he's a worker and will do what it takes.
