I wouldn't read too much into it. From where I stand, a lot of Republicans like Obama because:

-They're disillusioned with their own party because of Bush

-Their own candidates really couldn't be worse

-Obama is not Hillary, whom they hate more than Hitler, and may actually beat her

-Obama, though if you say, look at his website and stances on the issues, is at least a little left-of-center, barely indicates that in his speeches. He makes them forget that they don't agree on the issues. He makes high-minded, high-level (but vapid to me) speeches about change, change, change, and uniting, and hope... After Bush, that sounds really good to even Republicans.

But then, Joe Scarborough, the conservative pundit, said that after every primary election his blackberry gets a ton of messages from his conservative friends saying that Obama is the bomb! He he.....

There is almost something weird about the way Republicans like Obama (at least those that don't have their mind shut like a steel trap). Maybe a lot of them are not as bad I thought.

I don't quite get Scarborough....he's a conservative but an enlightened one it would seem. Scarborough was so excited about the Obama win that Buchanan looked like he was ready to hit him. After the commerical break, Scarborough toned down his rhetoric and started criticizing the win. I think Buchanan must have read him his beads. ;-)
