Frank Rich says the Clintons kick news reporters like they were dogs. Possibly journalists should not have pandered to the hill-billary monster for so many yrs:

>By Noel Sheppard | January 27, 2008

Well, sports fans, as the Clintons continue to disingenuously carp and whine that they're not being treated fairly by the media, more and more press members and outlets are striking back.

On Sunday, the New York Times columnist Frank Rich jumped on the anti-Clinton bandwagon actually opining that the resurrection of Bill could help the Republicans retain the White House in November.

In a piece titled "The Billary Road to Republican Victory," Rich strongly made the case that America isn't ready for the tag team of Bill and Hill.

The stories about Clinton with "bimbos" in Arkansas are mainly total BS. Those and the tall tales that he's guilty of murder, drug-running and other imaginary crimes. Back in the mid 90's, billionaire Newsmax owner and Gulf Oil heir Mellon Scaife and other extremists rightwing misers who hate paying their fair share of taxes, especially the estate tax, funded a huge underground smear campaign against the Clintons.

BTW, Mellon Scaife, Gingrich and GOP Speaker Livingston were all carrying on full-scale affairs cheating on their wives at the time so they were all total hypocrites.

Their main trick was offering money to any woman in Arkansas who would come forward and accuse Clinton of a crime. Anne Coulter was then used to write up fictitious testimonies. They figured this was credible because Bill had indeed played around with various women. But he never raped or sexually harassed anyone. In fact as Gennifer Flowers notes, Clinton was always a big teddy bear, tender with women, etc. In the Lewinsky transcripts you can plainly see that half the time Clinton was fighting off the advances of a very horny young Monica, and that he always turned down having sex with her. He was weak though and allowed her to masturbate him a few times. That's really the whole deal.

The real scandal is that the rightwing spent hundreds of millions mainly of our money investigatign Clinton's bedroom secrets when Clinton was arguably the most successful presdient of our lifetimes, at last since JFK. He gave us the best economy we may ever see and was remarkably clear of corruption issues compared to previous administrations and the Bush-Cheney criminal enterprise. So hang up the lying and repeating of the smear lies. All they've done is harm our great country and let Mellon Scaife types get away with tens of millions they'd otherwise be paying in taxes to help balance our budgets.
