I'm working on my own stump speech for the hell of it. There will be no "Kumbayas" in there...

He makes it sound like there are procedural, bureaucratic issues, like the politicians in Washington just aren't talented enough."

And that is the major problem I have with Obama. Joining hands and singing "Kumbaya" is good, but it won't get the job done.

You really need to read his history; that's not how he's run his life and his work. And then there is his campaign.....he's not using many professionals. Its mostly grass roots. You have to have a great deal of attention to small details to be able to do that.

Its not like you to pass judgement without having done a lot of research. You might want to look at that.

Ted is somewhat right, he is the "independent" candidate. When you say "singing "Kumbaya" is good, but it won't get the job done", what exactly are you looking for? A cynical, divisive politician?

It's worth a try. Nothing else on the horizon. Is Bloomberg better than Obama? Is Hillary more independent than Obama?

Listen to the guy.

I dunno dude, I kinda like the idea of Obama starting his first SOTU by having both houses go outside, circle the building holding hands and sing "Kumbaya" while swaying back and forth.!<g>
