However, it does seem strange to me to have an election so close after 8 years of prosperity and sound leadership with an incumbent running even if that incumbent doesn't bring up Bill Clinton. We're talking a candidate whose wife was a major force in the "morality" issues on TV and radio and also who had a VP candidate who pushed hard against Clinton during the impeachment hearings. Gore was listening to dumbass advisors who said he had to do it that way. And he lost because of it. Dollars to donuts, if Gore could go back in time, he would not have avoided Clinton. >If true, then Americans get the leaders they deserve.
