At best its a tossup leaning in McCain's favor. Its also a tossup with Obama but leaning in his favor. If winning is your game, that Obama has slightly better odds. Once again... McCain isn't going to be as popular a few months from now as he is now. Clinton will probably be basically the same. Obama will probably be either much more popular or somewhat less. Z, I need to be candid.......you speak like you know how this election is going to play out and what I am trying to tell you is that you don't know. All we can go by is what's happening today. And today, Clinton is the lesser candidate in a match up with McCain. No I don't. Why do you think she appeals to women? Um, because she's a woman? Well then, why isn't she appealing to men? Men are 50% of this country; they deserve a candidate with whom they can identify. Many men are turned off by Clinton. Clinton is a complex person....I am not sure of all the shadings that go on in her but its very clear that her closest advisors, aside from Bill, are women. No, that's BS. That's wrong. Mark Penn is probably #1 in her campaign and Chris Lehane is pretty high. They're both scumbags, but they're both men. And even if that weren't the case, would the fact that most of the advisors to most of the candidates are men mean that the men hate women? Okay. I was going by an article that I read in Salon. Apparently, they got it wrong or I misunderstood. But what does it say that the two men she holds dear you consider "scumbags"? Again, you get the president you deserve. I don't want that kind of president. She's also suspect for having stayed with him through all those cheating years of his. Either she has serious esteem issues, or she is such a climber she will put up with anything. Frankly, its a rather sick relationship IMO. Some couples have understandings like that. One of my drinking buddies has a relationship like that. And it's none of my business. I don't care about the Clintons' marriage. Its important only what it says about her. I sense a lot of anger in her and suspect it comes at least in part from her bad marriage. However, I do trust him to do the right thing on both issues even if its not what I want. Huh? Then doesn't that make it the wrong thing? Of course not. I would be egocentric if I expected a leader to do everything the way I want it done. That's why people get so pissed off at politicians. They are incensed when they don't cross their t's or dot their i's in the same way they do. Not for one moment do they empathize or consider the multiple constituencies with which a politician must deal. Are you expecting to vote for someone who thinks exactly the way you think?
