Its easy to say something like that......I am not sure there is any way to prove it. In fact, I heard just the opposite.....that Gore's connection to Clinton hurt him. I am not a politico so its hard for me to be sure but that latter view sounds more right to me.

Why would being associated with a really popular person hurt your popularity? It doesn't make sense.


As I understand it, there were a lot of people who were not happy with bill lying to the nation. You say he was popular.....that's not what I heard in 2000 and I live in a liberal state.
