I hope I'm right too, and hope there is some kind of organized and peaceful revolt in this country aimed at replacing entrenched elite with more normal and everyday kind of people. Very unlikely considering the cost of winning an election, and I know once they get there it's hard not to become corrupted too. The human mind is so curious, and I just get a vision of isolated and uneducated folks gathering around their neighbor who just got one of those fancy new cell phones that accesses the www and being so curious and wanting one for themselves and the younger ones doing what ever it takes to get one so that they can not only become more important in the eyes of their peers, but have that access so they can quench that burning desire to know more. The picture taking feature alone is enough to cause a furor. As you say, lots (maybe too many) of "ifs."
