But as they get older, they begin to think they're screwed...houses are beyond them because of the price, at least in the high rent urban areas...

this keeps up, at some point a smart pol is gonna wage a generational campaign against the boomers and their entitlements...not now, but in 8 to 12 years when the boomers are really sucking the money out of the system with SS and medicare...

the other factor is the constant weakening of public education. they turn out less and less even basically literate kids...

if you want your kid well educated, you have to send him or her to private school. the fees are enormous, so you end up with just the elite being even marginally well educated...

it perpetuates the status quo and has probably done more to narrow the middle class than all the plant closings in the mid west.

I see increasing class difference based on education which means earning power, etc. Been accelerating my entire lifetime...
