McCain could become a 2008 edition of Bob Dole. No disrespect to either of the two gentlemen, but McCain - if nominated - will look like yet another tired aging veteran of yet another war. The press likes him because the press would like to see a Dem President. Lengthy tenure with the establishment cannot substitute for ability, ideas - and energy.

Romney, I think, has a better chance to win. His secretive and "different" religion would be a drawback, but probably not a fatal one. True, he looks like the guy who fires people rather than like one of their coworkers... but we are electing a CEO of the nation, and not picking friends. Rudy seems to be out -- Mitt is da man.
