The Texas oilman I met in Austin two years ago drunkenly boasted to be that since Bush-cheney came in "we can charge anything we want". He shut up fast when he heard I was working with John Kerry. The tripling of gasoline prices was a fix from the beginning with Bush-Cheney. That was their #1 priority along with using any excuse to grab Iraq's oilfields for themselvbes, not for the rest of us. Halliburton still controls those oilfields by the way and the word is that as much as 25% of the oil is being stolen. That's the real reason our 4000 troops are dead and 25,000 more maimed.
