Not to beat a dead horse but again what surprised me about the release was how LARGE the golf industry is. Whether you're looking at numbers from 2005 or 2008, whether you fudge them up or down, left or right, it's still a much bigger industry than I thought.

I hadn't considered that golfers spend billions on travel, accommodations, real estate (golf communities, homes, country clubs etc) not to mention the obvious areas of equipment, rounds played, apparel, lessons, tournament tickets, food etc.

I know, thanks to my swing, I have singlehandedly kept the golf ball manufacturers in business.
