Zeus,

You want an institution that believed a bunch of crackpot psychologists that their pedophile and gay priests could be cured by therapy to have a deep understanding of genetic engineering?

ROTFLMAO

Personally, I don't trust scientists any more than I trust politicians. Most have agendas and are openly hostile to religion (as opposed to just being pro science). That puts me in direct opposition to them on many things. I'm not the least bit religious. I consider myself agnostic. However, I believe virtually any deep thinking objective individual that observes the results of various behaviors and life choices can easily tell the the difference between intrinsically moral and immoral behavior/good and evil/better and worse etc... So even though I'm not sure about God, I come down on the side of the major religions on many issues. I just take a different path to get there.

I'd bet my life against a dollar that scientists will be creating half human embryos in my lifetime even if this legislation does nothing to advance that.
