I think you may be right in your comparison of Romney to Bush. I was (and remain) a strong Bush supporter. But, the truth of the matter is, he, and the rest of the Republican Party squandered tremendous opportunities in the first term. Controlling both houses of Congress and the White House should have enabled them to push through a tremendous number of conservative issues. They failed miserably at that. The tax cut was their main offering, and it has proved to be just what we needed. But he let the Dems shout him down too often. Hopefully, Mitt would not let that happen. IMHO...
