My thought is: who would want it, to be POTUS. There are no easy solutions and we are a population that wants the easiest way out of anything and want it now. I can't imagine anyone with any brains would want to do clean up on our excesses of the past decades.

What a shocking list you put up. I knew we were outspending everyone, but the magnitude is appalling. MP

Even if social security and medicare were eliminated completely, we would still be in deficit. Military spending is the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about.
