Yes scott, I heard that speech today while the TV was droning on in the background.. It sounded good.. All well and good.. But is it just rhetoric as usual by politicians to suck people in. It is so SO easy to talk progressively but what happens after that?.. Usually nothing... Same ole, same ole.. I am sorry to be so cynical but "they" made me cynical.. The so-called leaders and the band wagon jumpers that come from the masses.. I read these threads to get the drift of things.. All sides.. The so-called center threads have people I know as posted about being so conservative a couple of years ago now talk of being progressive during the 60s-70s, my generation. What total BS they post. It's easy now to say that 30-40 years later... But say it when it COUNTS.. I found a right wing thread and they talk of the lousy choices from their side but still better than the rest.. What total BS too.. Come out and ADMIT you were wrong.. It doesn't hurt. But to be fair, some on the right wing threads are not hypocrites, so I know where they stand.. We can't sort things out until every LAST honest person stands and STATES their position.. Jeesuz H.. Keeerist, we are totally screwed by ourselves as Pogo said, until THAT happens and we keep our current mindset.... BTW, I wish you would write your own feelings rather than just post other people's stuff.. I bet you could do better.. :) I do, most of the time, unless it is totally OT from politics.. Take care, c BTW, we went snow shoeing this afternoon in the woods behind our house.. It's a helluva of a lot better than politics.. We can live a wonderful life doing this kind of stuff as we don't have a vested interest in the future.. But the GODDAMN problem is we CARE.. And unfortunately it is the baggage we CARRY.. I think I will take that up along with skiing.. :) pbase.com
